Samantha Torres is an experienced young trial attorney who tried nearly a dozen jury trials as lead or co-lead counsel, obtaining favorable verdicts for her clients in courtrooms throughout Texas. Samantha handles a variety of complex litigation matters in both state and federal courts, representing individuals, small businesses, and large companies in a broad spectrum of commercial litigation matters to catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death cases.
Samantha received her B.A. from The University of Texas at Austin and her Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law Houston. Following law school, she served as an attorney for the Civil Division of the Special Prosecution Unit in Texas where she assisted District and County Attorney Offices with sexually violent predator cases for civil commitment purposes and also practiced at a large, national law firm.
She is actively involved in the Houston legal community with organizations, including the Garland Walker Inn of Court and Houston Young Lawyers Association (“HYLA”). She is currently the President-Elect of HYLA and a Fellow of the Houston Young Lawyers Foundation. She is an active member of HYLA having served as a Director on the Board for two years and the Chair of the Marketing and CLE Committees. In 2018, she received the HYLA President’s Award for her service to the organization.
